David and Brenda Nicholas love to entertain and enjoy having their children, grandchildren and friends to stay in their Victorian three bedroom semi in Oxted, Surrey.
The family bathroom was downstairs but shortly after they moved into the property in 2007 they relocated it upstairs – however, this meant sacrificing one of the three bedrooms.
“We like our home to be full of friends and family and so it was important that we regained that third bedroom,” said David. “A loft conversion seemed the most obvious route to take and fortunately a neighbour had just had work done by Econoloft.
“Their house is the same layout as ours and so it was very useful to have a look at their loft conversion as we could see exactly how it would work for us.
“We were very impressed with the high specification and so we contacted Econoloft to come and replicate the work in our own home.”
The loft conversion was completed just before Christmas and provided a stunning new bedroom with ensuite facilities.
“The new room is pretty much a self contained guest suite,” said David. “It works really well with the house and has already proved invaluable when the family come to stay.”
David and Brenda have not had their home valued but are confident that the loft conversion will have added money to their home.
“We are not looking to move in the near future but we are confident that in the long term we will recoup our investment,” adds David. “The most important thing for us was developing our property to suit our needs and Econoloft have proved professional in delivering a quality addition to our home.”
